Looking at kawaii all the time is bad for our purses but here’s our most kawaii purchases from this year.
Nicolette: It has to be my exclusive London City Pikachu plush – that bowler hat is too cute! I’ve also been a long time admirer of the amazing ceramics made by Myostery and finally managed to get my hands on one: a gorgeous little ghost brooch.
Andi: My Jinbesan, Rilakkuma, and Sumikko Gurashi coloring books from Amazon Japan.
Marceline: I usually prefer small plushies but I am completely in love with my big fluffy Rilakkuma plush from ARTBOX. He’s just so squashy and huggable and the perfect size for keeping comfy on the sofa. I’m happily living my Rilakkuma & Kaoru dream now.
Marceline is the co-founder and editor of Super Cute Kawaii and the author of The Super Cute Book of Kawaii. She lives by the seaside in Scotland in a flat full of kawaii, creating cute character goods as Asking For Trouble, working on endless craft projects and playing Nintendo.
Andi lives in the countryside of Georgia in a house packed with kawaii decor and vintage toys. When she’s not barricaded in her pink craft room creating something, she can be found reading, playing Animal Crossing games, or baking something to satisfy her massive sweet tooth. Andi is currently taking a mental health break, but hopes to be back in 2023.
Kendy (AKA MissMuffcake) lives in California with her boyfriend Matt and two kitties (Mady & Mortis). In her spare time she likes eating/creating vegan food, petting kittens, collecting cute toys, wandering cemeteries, making zines and doing yoga.
Natasja lives in the Netherlands with her husband and works as a freelance web designer. She likes to spend her free time browsing for cute stuff, blogging and reading. Natasja is currently taking a break from writing, as she’s got to prioritize family and work. But she does miss SCK and its readers, once things settle down, she’ll be back to write occasional posts.
Nicolette is the sister of Marceline and is also totally obsessed with everything kawaii! She enjoys crafting with felt, dressing up in cute outfits, playing Animal Crossing and eating cake.
