Cute Christmas Gift Guide: For The Kawaii Baker or Cook

Posted on December 5, 2017 by

Another gift guide to help you with your holiday shopping. If you’ve got a friend who loves to spend time in the kitchen, then this gift guide might help you out. I’ve included gifts for both cooking and baking, with a touch of kawaii.

seal onigiri set

An onigiri set includes all tools needed to create a cute character from rice. I think that this seal onigiri set at Tokyo Otaku Mode or the panda onigiri set at Bento&co would make a great gift.

panda rice mold set

I love Japanese cutter sets, since they are so versatile. You can cut soft vegetables, bread and cheese with it, but they also work great as small cookie cutters. This kurugumi cutter set at J-List is very nice to start with.

deer cookie cutters

Etsy is a good place to go if you are looking for more unique cookie shapes, such as this cute deer cookie cutter at 3D Cookie Cutter Shop.

pusheen cookie jar

And what better place to store all those homemade cookies than in a Pusheen cookie jar, available from Truffle ShuffleAmazon and more.

kawaii cakes recipe book

A recipe book would also be a good idea, how about the Kawaii Cakes book by Juliet Sear?

sumikko gurashi mould

This Sumikko Gurashi silicone tray is available for pre-order at AmiAmi. Just look at these sweet shapes! The nice thing about molds is that you can use it to make either ice cubes, candy or chocolate.

Fuzzballs kawaii baking set

The Fuzzballs yummy treats gift set has got a little bit of everything! It comes with a mini guide to yummy treats, a paw print mold and a wooden spoon engraved with one of the Fuzzballs characters.

Maybe you’d like to cook something up yourself. In that case why not bake some cute cookies and wrap them up as a special treat or gift? Kawaii Sweet World shows you how to make Rilakkuma gingerbread men!

Christmas Amigurumi Crochet Patterns

Posted on December 1, 2017 by

Christmas preparations are now in full force! If you’re looking for gift ideas or to add to your décor, here’s another list of kawaii Christmas projects to keep you busy during the season, this time for amigurumi crochet.

Christmas Crochet Patterns - polar bear

Storyland Amis has several cute Christmas patterns to offer, including my favorite Paddy the polar bear amigurumi. There’s also a Christmas bundle pack adding Gingerbread boy and girl, Penguin, Snowman and Reindeer, if you want to have options.

Christmas Crochet Patterns - molang bunny

If you’d like a Christmas bunny, look no further than Paint It Colorful’s Christmas Molang pattern. As mentioned in the post, it would make an adorable Christmas ornament with the simple addition of a string.

Christmas Crochet Patterns - reindeer cupcakes

Amigurumi Today has a free reindeer cupcake pattern (by the talented PetitCutieShop) that would also make really cute ornaments, especially for a sweets-themed tree!

Christmas Crochet Patterns - cupcakes

For even more Christmas cupcakes, SuperCuteDesignShop has a sweet cupcake pattern bundle consisting of 5 different patterns. I have virtually no crochet experience, but I still want to give them a try!

Christmas Crochet Patterns - bear

You can never have too many ornaments, so why not add Little Muggles’ baby bear ornament to your collection? It’s difficult to say no to a bear in a sweater.

There’s lots more Christmas crafts in our archives and let us know if you try any. We’d love to see your holiday creations!
