Kawaii Amuse Plushies at Tokyo Otaku Mode

Posted on April 16, 2018 by

I could look at all the Amuse plushies at Tokyo Otaku Mode for hours! There are so many cute animals, and so many variations. I pretty much love all of them, but here’s a few I managed to pick out.

Kawaii Amuse plushies - Loppy bunny

Pote Usa Loppy is my favourite Amuse character and how can you not love a bunny in a cupcake? There are so many cute details here – the toppings are so sweet with fruit, cream and a chocolate heart.

Kawaii Amuse plushies - pastel unicorn tapir

Tapirs don’t get nearly enough kawaii love and Amuse’s version is so adorable. I love the pastel colours. Unfortunately, this one is currently out of stock but you can ask to be notified when it’s back. Or the unicorn is almost as cute and in stock now.

Kawaii Amuse plushies - unicorn

Unicorn no Cony is new to me but how can I resist those faces? These come in a few pastel colours with stars on their sides, pink blushing cheeks and polka dot ribbons. They’re selling out fast in all sizes so be quick if you want one.

Kawaii Amuse plushies - pometan dogs

These little round Pomeranians can’t walk too far so you can carry them in a bag. They look so fluffy and happy.

Kawaii Amuse plushies - puchimaru pandas

If you’re on a budget, the tiny Puchimaru charms are really affordable and include so many weird and wonderful characters. I really love this rainbow of pandas and they all have different poses and faces.

You can check out all the Amuse plushies at Tokyo Otaku Mode – which is your favourite?

Cute Pusheen DIY Crafts

Posted on April 13, 2018 by

Nowadays it’s hard to move without spotting cute Pusheen merchandise (and even harder to not buy it…), but what you want something that’s one-of-a-kind or more personal? You make it yourself! With Pusheen’s popularity, there are tons of cute Pusheen crafts to discover, but here are a few of my favorites!

Flying Mio may very well be the YouTube queen of Pusheen projects. If you’re still lamenting missing out on the official Pusheen planter from the subscription box, she has a DIY planter pot that will work as an alternative.

If you enjoy polymer clay projects, she also made a Pusheen mermaid clay charm that would make a very cute necklace or bracelet for this upcoming summer season. Or make two for a pair of earrings!

Looking to try your hand at needle felting? The simple needle felt Pusheen DIY by Madi Unnie is a cute option. It’s not step-intensive, so it’s a very beginner-friendly project.

Plushie collectors can find an adorable unicorn Pusheen plush DIY option on the Cuteasy DIY channel. This is a very simple and inexpensive plush tutorial thanks to the short list of materials (it uses socks!), and it’s a nice option if you’re too busy for a complicated sewing project.

Ketchupgiri has plenty of squishy DIYs to choose from, but the Pusheen popsicle squishy is one of my favorites. It definitely reminds me that I’m looking forward to warm weather!

Cute Instagram Accounts Taking Part In #The100DayProject

Posted on April 11, 2018 by

If you haven’t heard of #The100DayProject, it’s a creative challenge that happens every April. Everyone who takes part sets a personal theme to work on for the next 100 days and the daily posts are shared on Instagram. Here’s some of my favourite cute creatives taking part in the challenge.

#The100DayProject @parade.made

When I was looking for a unique hashtag for my own challenge, I came across rubber stamp maker @parade.made whose project last year was #100daysofkawaiiness and includes so much kawaii food! This year she’s doing 100 Corners Of The World and I’m looking forward to following along in real time.

#The100DayProject @wita.doodlesdo

Planner fans will want to check out @wita.doodlesdo who’s posting 100 Days of Functional Doodles. The drawings are both cute and useful and great inspiration for your journal. You can also vote for your favourites to be turned into stickers for her shop.

#The100DayProject @imthedoodlemachine

If you’d like a little bit of extra positivity in your day, @imthedoodlemachine is sharing 100 Days of Motivoodles (aka motivational doodles!). Each drawing is also available as clip art for a limited time.

#The100DayProject @lemonyarncreations

@lemonyarncreations is doing things a little differently with 100 Days of Fauna and Flora. She’s creating 10 amigurumi toys featuring animals merged with plants. Her daily posts show each step from inspiration to finished toy so it’s fun to see the process.

#The100DayProject @knittingsquids

More cute illustration from @knittingsquids who’s doing 100 Illustrated Circles. I really love how simple and colourful these are.

#The100DayProject @marcelinesmith

And I’m doing it too. Follow me at @marcelinesmith for 100 Days of Kawaii Characters and feel free to make suggestions for what I draw next!

Are you doing #The100DayProject? Let us know in the comments. If you’d like to join in, you still can! There’s no strict timetable so if you start late or can’t post every day, no-one minds. Find out how it all works here.
