It’s Leap Day today and if it’s also your birthday you’re in good company as you share it with Sanrio’s sporty pup Pochacco! Since he only gets to celebrate properly every four years, I”ve searched up some cute shopping picks. Most of these shops have lots more Pochacco goodies so take a look if you’re a fan.
Pochacco recently joined the rest of his Sanrio friends at Build-a-Bear Workshop (global) so you can head in store to make a plush yourself or order online. You can even add this cute hoodie and shorts outfit so he’s ready to get active.
I really love this simple and nostalgic classic series plush at Sanrio (US) but there’s lots of other Pochacco plushies to choose from too.
Or how about a plush bag from JapanLA (US) that you can bring everywhere with you? It has such a sweet expression and the shoulder strap is removable if you’d prefer a pouch.
Sanrio (JP – requires forwarding service) has such a big Pochacco collection that it was hard to choose just one thing but I’m intrigued by this cookie kit that’s just been restocked. It includes a mould and chocolate pen so you can bake and decorate some edible treats.
Miki Takei x Sanrio is a perfect collaboration and ARTBOX (UK) have the whole Pochacco stationery collection in stock including letter sets, memo pads, stickers, washi tape and more.
If you’re an old school Sanrio fan, you’ll definitely remember these PVC wallets at Very Goods (JP). I had a few of these in the 90s and there’s just enough room inside for a few notes and coins.
Sanrio’s official Amazon store (UK) has a surprisingly large selection of Pochacco plush and accessories but the t-shirts are definitely the star as every design is available in a wide range of colours and sizes (including kids and tall), along with a few sweatshirts. I really wish I was lounging in the sun!
You can imagine yourself living in Pochacco’s House with these fun Re-Ment miniatures at Oshoppu (UK). Personally, I think it’s extremely weird to have furniture shaped like your own face but you do you. The fridge, skateboard, carrot pillow and melon float are especially cute.
Sanrio also have some fun DIYs on their YouTube channel, plus there’s new mobile wallpapers that you can download for free. Happy birthday Pochacco!
