It’s been ages since I did one of these so here’s more adorable plushies by independent artists and designers that you’ll want to add to your collection now or help bring to life.
Egg the Trans Raccoon is absolutely adorable, and also represents trans comfort, joy, and solidarity. There’s so many lovely details here like the heart-shaped paw pads. It’s designed by Aubry Joi for Little Softs (US) and includes optional clothing.
The family of Mousemoth plushies keeps growing at Lumichee (US) with a wide range of cute nature-inspired variations to choose from (plus lots of bargain seconds too!). The colours of Autumn Leaf are so perfect for the current season.
Chocolett (US) is a recent discovery for me and there’s two cute plushies for cat lovers on sale right now – Momo the black cat and Mittens the calico. Much like real cats, they both look like they are grudgingly accepting your hugs.
A few pre-orders to finish off. Mineko’s Night Market has been one of my most long-awaited video games and it finally got a release this week. If you’d like your own Mineko plush, they’ve teamed up with Makeship (US) and it’s available to support now.
Also at Makeship is a couple of plushies from Wawawiwa, whose sweet and silly comics you’ve almost certainly come across on Instagram. I’m pretty sure RigaTony is the first pasta plush I’ve ever seen and I love his little ams and legs! Both RigaTony and Catfish are only available for another two weeks so don’t miss out.
And finally, tea lovers will need to pick up a Tilly the Teapot plush from Veronica Porlier (US). She comes with 2 sugarcube friends for the perfect tea time companion and is available for preorder now.
Apologies for so many US-based shops. If you’re a kawaii artist making plush in other parts of the world, get in touch so we can feature you next time.
