With all the excitement about the Rilakkuma Netflix show, I’d almost forgotten we’re getting a Gudetama show too. The full trailer is now online and I’ve found some fun shopping picks and treats too.
Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure now has a trailer and an official release date of December 13 on Netflix worldwide. With a mix of live action and animation, it sees the lazy egg team up with chick sibling Shakipiyo as they try to find their mother before Gudetama expires and goes bad. This looks very bizarre but all the Gudetama food is hilarious and I’ll definitely be watching.
We’ll hopefully see lots of new merch later in the year but here’s a few fun things to keep you going. Sanrio (US) have the perfect lazy Halloween costume with this Gudetama kigurumi onesie. It looks so cosy you may not make it off the sofa.
The official Sanrio t-shirt store on Amazon UK has a whole load of Gudetama t-shirts for every occasion and holiday including Halloween. You can choose from lots of different sizes and colours too.
I somehow missed the Top Ramen x Gudetama collaboration but JapanLA (US) have a few items in stock and it’s pretty amazing. My favourite is definitely the interactive plush with Gudetama and some noodles inside a branded ramen packet. There’s also some very cute mini figures.
Get organised for the new year with a Gudetama calendar or planner, available from sites like VeryGoods (JP) and A Cute Shop (TW). This burger themed tear-off wall calendar would be great in the kitchen.
If you’ll be in London this month, Tombo have a Hello Kitty and Friends dessert menu that includes this cute Gudetama mochi donut. Read our post on their previous Sanrio collab for an idea of what to expect.
Or just watch Tiny Cakes Official make a miniature Gudetama cake!
