While it’s getting easier to buy the latest characters, snacks and trends from Japan, it can be a hassle dealing with translation and forwarding services. Luckily, Japan Crate have opened a new Sugoi Mart online store for all things Japanese with the latest snacks, treats and character goods.

It’s no surprise that candy and snacks are the most popular items in store. There’s a whole range of Japan-exclusive Pocky including these Couple de Fruits with Peach & Lemon and Framboise & Pistachio.

You’ll find all the latest KitKats too. Sugoi Mart kindly sent me this bag of dark chocolate KitKats to try but you’ll also find flavours like sakura kinako, mint yogurt and frozen strawberry cheesecake!

You can even find super-rare items at good prices, like this Super Mario x Pikachu mug that’s exclusive to the new Nintendo Store in Tokyo. Can you see that Pikachu is made up of Mario images? I love the Mario Home & Party collection too.

There’s loads of popular kawaii characters as well including Sanrio, San-X, Studio Ghibli, Sailor Moon and even Samezu sharks. I’m not sure I would trust them with your AirPods though…

The Sugoi Mart shop is easy to browse with lots of menu options so you can choose your favourite brand or character, shop by price or see the newest and most popular items. Everything ships from Japan and they currently ship internationally to the USA, UK, most of Europe and a few more selected countries, with more being added soon. My KitKats arrived in just over a week, well-packaged in a cardboard box so I’d be happy to recommend them.
(KitKats were gifted by Sugoi Mart but the format of this article, and all opinions, are my own.)

July 6, 2020 at 2:45 pmI avoid them. They’re selling an AC bag for $50. I just bought it for $26 plus $9 shipping o Amazon Japan. They sell an AC mirror for $40. I can get it at retail of less than $10, and even with paying a proxy 10% to 500 yen, it’s still cheaper, and I could get several.

July 7, 2020 at 9:09 amThat’s great but price isn’t the only important thing. Not everyone is comfortable using forwarding services or Japanese sites in case something goes wrong. Using a trusted company with English customer support can be well worth the extra costs, especially when it comes to licensed characters and brands,

October 14, 2020 at 11:53 pmI agree with Marceline on that. Ive bought from a proxy once and the item took months to arrive and was damaged. I bought from Sugoi Mart after seeing this and my order delivered in just 4 days in perfect condition. It’s a little more expensive than a proxy but Im happy to pay that in exchange for peace of mind and a reliable service. Thanks for your review :)
