Marimo Marshmallow Halloween Review

You know we love Halloween here at SCK so I was very happy to open up a box full of Halloween treats from Marimo Marshmallow.

Look how spooky cute everything is! Let’s have a closer look…

First up is Hello Kitty herself, all dressed up for trick or treating with a black and red satin outfit and a pumpkin on her head. This plushie comes in two sizes and this is the smaller one, but has just as many cute details. I love how even her eyes and whiskers are red.

My favourite detail is her little bat shoes, but there are so many nice touches like the puffed sleeves, fishnets and sequins. Hello Kitty knows how stand out on Halloween. This would be a great gift for a creepy cute plush collector or just to use for a fun decoration every Halloween.

Marimo Marshmallow generously added three boxes of Halloween Koala’s March biscuits and I don’t think I’ll be sharing them as they’re really good. The packaging is super kawaii and so are the biscuits themselves.

Look at all those spooky designs. If you’re a huge Halloween fan, you might be disappointed that these are just the standard chocolate flavour inside, but personally I’m not that keen on pumpkin and ‘scary’ flavours so I’m perfectly happy with chocolate.

Also in the box was a Halloween Snack Pack, which contains 9 assorted Japanese snacks, 1 drink and a collectable Halloween sticker, all for under $10! It’s great if you don’t want to be tied into a subscription, but still want some surprises.

Here’s what was inside, including corn soup, onion and taro crisps, ramen snacks, coconut biscuits, grape juice and more. I haven’t had a chance to try everything yet but I did check out the Halloween snacks.

I’m a big fan of the Umaibo tubular snacks and the packaging on this is great, plus you get a cute sticker too. The flavour is corn soup, which is apparently really popular in Japan just now. I’m not a big fan, but it definitely does taste like sweetcorn.

I was more excited by this Monster Stamp candy. I wasn’t sure what I’d find inside but they’re sweets in the shape of rubber stamps that you can lick and stamp with!

There were four different spooky designs in the pack and they worked surprisingly well. The candy is pretty good to eat too and similar to Fizzers (Smarties in the US).

Overall, this was a really cool selection of Halloween treats that was much more fun than what’s in my local supermarket. If you fancy trying some yourself, there’s still time to order from Marimo Marshmallow’s Halloween range, which also includes some Monster Party gummies.
