There are some perks to this kawaii expert lark, and one of them is that just occasionally, someone will get in touch and ask us to give us our opinions on their cute wares. When Modes4U got in touch to ask me to let them know about one of their DIY kits, I was already pretty pleased, but when I saw it was their Sweet Chocolatier Kit, I was mega excited – who doesn’t love chocolate?!
Making chocolate truffles is something I do relatively often – I sometimes make them for friends and family as gifts for birthdays or at Christmas time. However, when I do, I just make them boring round balls. It never occurred to me that I could make them KAWAII TRUFFLES!
All the equipment you need comes in the box, and although the instructions are in Japanese, I found that it’s fairly obvious what to do! Of course, you also need to provide your own ingredients. You can have fun experimenting with different flavours and different types of chocolate too. Modes4U have also helpfully translated the instructions and you can see them on their website.
I loved the little bear shaped mould best – I think everyone I know will get these for Christmas this year! Unfortunately, I don’t have photos to show you of the finished articles that I made – we ate them too quickly! Oops! I’ll just need to make some more!
This kit was a lot of fun and I’ll definitely be having another go soon. If you fancy a go at making your own kawaii truffles then you best get over to Modes4u.
