It’s a good thing I’m a fan of Halloween all year round because the Fall Pusheen Box didn’t get here until mid-November! I’ve rushed a review together so I hope you’ll still enjoy seeing what was inside. It had a Scaredy Cat theme with lots of not-so-spooky treats.
The box design featured a worried-looking Scaredy Cat Pusheen, who also featured in the vinyl figure, huddling under a blanket being haunted by an adorable little ghost. I much prefer the smaller figures but this is very cute and will be nice to display.
There were 7 items in the Fall 2023 Pusheen Box and that included a couple of very big ones! A fuzzy hoodie, throw blanket, beanie hat, glow in the dark mug, night light, window decals and vinyl figure. Let’s have a closer look.
Fuzzy Hoodie
With the wintry weather we’ve been having in Scotland lately, I was keen to get this photographed so I could wear it. It’s so soft and fluffy, like your favourite plushie! No pockets would usually be a dealbreaker for me but the sleeves are very long so it does keep your hands warm. I wasn’t sure if I liked the half and half colours but they’re both so nice so they probably couldn’t choose, and it does make it a bit different.
As well as the little Pusheen patch on the front, there’s a much bigger one on the back. They’re both made of a velvety material so a little bit fancier than embroidery. I’m definitely going to be wearing this a lot over the winter and it’s a bit oversized so perfect for layering when it gets even colder.
Glow in the Dark Mug
I feel like my kitchen cupboards are crammed full of Pusheen cups and glasses but it’s been 4 years since we had a mug. The design is so cute and poor Pusheen really is terrified of that happy ghost. It’s a really big mug too so great for keeping you warmed up on cold days.
Best of all it glows in the dark! It’s really bright and even glows a little in daylight, as you can see in my earlier photo.
Night Light
This is probably the item I had the most fun with as the colours are so bright. The light is inside the base and then you slot in this clear acrylic Pusheen piece that takes on the colour and makes some very cool patterns on the wall. It uses 3 AA batteries but also comes with a USB cable so you have a choice.
It rotates through the whole spectrum of colours and you can press the button on the front to change the speed. The slowest one is my favourite as the colours blend together but the fast one would be great for a party.
Throw Blanket
I really appreciate getting a large blanket but it is so hard to photograph the whole thing. It’s basically the width of a double bed. The material is a cosy fleece with a double sided print of Pusheen, ghosts and lots of candy. It’s not as big or warm as the blanket from the Winter 2021 box so it’s hard for me to justify keeping this but it’s just so kawaii!
Window Decals
Some big decals for your spooky season windows with Pusheen maybe starting to get over her fear of little ghost friend? Even if Halloween wasn’t over, there’s no way I’d be putting these on my windows after the last ones (not from Pusheen!) welded themselves to the glass. These are reusable decals though and way better quality, made from a thin vinyl that does look like it will be easy to remove. It’s possible they’d also work on other flat surfaces so maybe I’ll use them to decorate a mirror or shelving unit.
Final Thoughts
It’s such a shame this box shipped late and then ended up sitting around in Belgium for a week as it would have made my Halloween so much more fun. Instead I’ll be stashing most of it away to enjoy next year. The hoodie is a delight though and even just that, the blanket and mug is well worth the box price. The only item I didn’t feature is the beanie, which is perfectly nice and high quality but not particularly special or spooky. I’m still happy to have this box and recommend a subscription, as it seems like it was a different shipping company this time that caused the international delays.
