It’s April, which means it is once again Autism Month! In its honour, here are some of my favourite autistic and/or ADHD creators on Instagram.
May or iinsidemyhead posts lots of affirmations with super cute art. They also sell communication hoodies which are honestly one of the best things I’ve seen. I really want to get one of the highland cow ones!
For the absolute coolest crochet cosplay, follow Sarah at stitched in starlight cosplay. Their Rainbow Dash cosplay is spectacular! You can also buy some of their patterns on Etsy, including a very cute Eevee backpack pattern.
Have you watched Heartbreak High? It is one of (if not the) best show for having an autistic character played by an autistic actor! The character Quinni is played by Chloé Hayden who has a very cute aesthetic. Her Instagram chloeshayden features lots of posts about autism, ADHD, and chronic illness.
For super cute comics about autism, follow Bloo on ohnoautism or webtoon. His comics also discuss things like depression and queerness.
Anouk or Autism Sketches posts the cutest illustrations, with information on things like stimming and autistic characters in different media. You can also find her art on Redbubble.
Miyu or vimiyui is one of my favourite artists on Instagram. They also post about being queer and being Muslim. You can also support them on Ko-fi.
