I am always a fan of art prompts, but especially at this time of year! These are some of the cutest Autumnal and spooky art challenges happening at the moment.
I love the ginktober prompt list from ginkgojelly. It has a very fun, spooky vibe. I am of course especially looking forward to day 14, which is moth themed.
peachtober, hosted by furrylittlepeach, is a chilled out and fun prompt list that isn’t inherently spooky. Their instagram account features lots of different people’s art each day, so you can see even more inspiration.
For more of a cosy vibe, check out melotober from melosprout. I like the idea of day 18, which is ‘vintage’. I think it could work well with some retro kewpie dolls.
Returning for it’s fifth year is the School of Magic crochet along by Irene Strange and Airali Gray. This is paid, and you get lots of different crochet patterns, all following this year’s theme: Ancient Woodlands. The patterns are made available weekly, along with printable extras. Part 1 is already out and I adore the compass pattern.
If you’re a knitter (or crocheter) you’ll love catsocktober by ancaitinbeag. The idea is to make, or work on, a cat sock during the month of October and post a picture, so it’s very simple. There are prizes too. Their designs are absolutely gorgeous so please check them out.
If like me you love cats, then Octopurr is perfect for you. It’s hosted by catberry.studio and the prompts are weekly so you might find it a bit more relaxed than some of the other prompt lists.
Another animal themed list is ocTOADber from glaciars. This one is a little bit different!
I hope these inspire you! Make sure to check the hashtags to find new artists to follow too.
