Memento mori is Latin for ‘remember that you have to die’ and is used in art as a reminder of the inevitability of death. While on the surface it’s pretty morbid, I find it kind of peaceful.

This skull enamel pin from katnippillustrations (UK) is very kawaii. I think it’d look especially cute on a jacket lapel. I really like the backing card too.

I’ve recently been getting interested in tarot cards, so I thought this death tarot sticker from meinmyownheadx (EU) is perfect. They have lots of different tarot cats, all of which are so cute!

Patchdeadly (USA) has a cool range of patches including a 3D skull patch. I would add it to a jean jacket or a rucksack, or maybe an ita bag?

This horror art book features lots of illustrations by Katiewhittleart (UK). The artworks were created between 2016 and 2019, I think it’s awesome to see how the artist changes in that time. I also absolutely love the colour palettes.

These neon pastel skull earrings from TaphosArt (USA) would make a really interesting accessory to any outfit. They’re also a ‘memento amare’, which is a reminder to love.

This zine from thankthelordstore (UK) also folds out into an a3 poster so you can showcase all the art on your wall. I particularly like the angel.

For an affordable option, there’s this skull vinyl sticker from Stacey McEvoy Caunt (UK). I really like Stacey’s art style, you should check out the rest of her store too.
Gabriel is a contributing writer from Yorkshire who loves everything creepy cute. You’ll usually find them crafting, and trying to keep yarn away from Kiki, their tortoiseshell cat. When they’re not creating super cute amigurumi, they’re probably trying to figure out how to dress as a kawaii vampire or dreaming about visiting Tokyo.
