A lot of you asked to see more new kawaii characters so let me introduce you to San-X’s latest addition, Kokoro Araiguma (Kokoro Raccoon).
It feels like ages since we got a new San-X character but I’m already loving Kokoro Araiguma. The concept is that she has a healing power of 120% and heals sad and broken hearts (by washing them!).
Kokoro Araiguma has had a Twitter account for a few months now but the first product collection will be available in February including lots of plushies!
The grey raccoon is called Ashi Araiguma, based on an Asian raccoon or tanuki. I love the side eye. It seems very grumpy and only has a healing power of 30%.
There’s also lots of stationery including notebooks, letter sets and pencil cases.
The exact release date hasn’t been announced but you can visit the campaign page to see all the products and download free wallpapers. If you follow Kokoroaraiguma on Twitter, they’ll share links when the products are available. San-X Japan requires a forwarding service for international orders, but you should also be able to buy from San-X stockists worldwide.
