To be honest I started playing Blob Monsters because of the cute artwork, that reminded me a bit of Adventure Time. At first I thought it would be your average match game, but it turned out to be a chain reaction puzzle game.
Actually Blob Monsters is quite challenging; at each level you’ll have ‘pop’ all the monsters with a limited number of tabs. Luckily you can use hints and power ups to get through a level, I really needed them on several occasions.
When you ‘pop’ a pink monster it will shoot/explode in different directions. This chain reaction will change the colour of your blobs and kill all the pink ones. At the top right of the game you can see the sequence in which a monster will change. At first I thought it would be impossible to clear all the blobs with a set number of tabs, but I did get the hang of it (^_^).
All in all it’s a very nice game to kill some time (and monsters) although you do need to use your brain.
You can download the game for free on Apple iTunes, sadly it’s not available for Android.
