It’s another edition of SCK Tries where we try out a DIY to see how it works in real life and whether we’d recommend you give it a go. This time it’s an Easter craft kit from Flying Tiger for jumping bunnies.
The Original DIY

As a bunny lover with a Spring birthday I get a lot of Easter gifts and Nicolette picked up a DIY jumping animals kit from Flying Tiger for me. If you remember my previous experience with a Søstrene Grene Easter kit, you’ll understand that I was not exactly thrilled but I can’t resist a craft kit and it does look very cute.
Kit Contents & Materials

The kit includes everything required, which is basically a lot of foam sheets with pop-out parts, plus the jumping bases. You don’t even need anything extra like scissors or glue so it would be good for an activity outside of the house. The instructions only have pictures and no text but it’s easy enough to figure out, especially if you check the photos on the box as well.
Process

The foam pieces have a sticky back so it’s really just a matter of placing the body pieces around the jumping base and adding details on top. The glue is surprisingly strong so you only really get one chance and need to try and line everything up perfectly.

With 6 bunnies to make, you can choose your own colour schemes for the eggs and bows but they’re mostly pastel colours that work well in any combination. This was really quick to do and I soon had all my bunnies ready for jumping.
The End Result
That was certainly a much more impressive jump than I was expecting!

I’m glad I can actually recommend this kit – it’s quick and easy for anyone to make and fun to play with. They also look cute as Easter decorations on my mantelpiece. I may even remove the bases from a few and try making something else with them.
This kit is sold out online but you should be able to find it at Flying Tiger stores worldwide. They also have some other cute Easter craft kits including a crochet bunny and paint your own mugs.
