To coincide with the Pokemon Center’s Year of Eevee, I thought I’d find a selection of crafts and recipes relating to Eevee and all of their evolutions. These are just perfect for celebrating Pokemon Day later this week.
Before you can evolve an Eevee, you need to catch one, and for that you’ll need a Pokeball. I’m not sure one filled with chocolate mousse will quite do the trick… but they look delicious regardless!
If you’ve ever played Pokemon Cafe Remix then you might recognise this recipe. Prof. Rosemary’s Lab has recreated the Eevee pancakes in real life form and they’d definitely be a great way to ‘evolve’ your Sunday breakfast and take it to the next level.
However, if like Sugar High Score, you thought those pancakes looked more like a layer cake on screen, then you could make it in cake form too. I think this looks stunning, but maybe a little too much for breakfast!

These Jolteon egg tarts from Miscellaneous Mao are amazing and while she doesn’t give a tutorial, I couldn’t not share them for inspiration. The recipes she’s used are either stated and I’ve linked them here (egg tart and rough puff pastry) or they’re linked to on her website (shortbread).
If you’re looking to challenge your icing skills, then the next two recipes will do just that. Both only come with Japanese subs, but the camera function on Google Translate will help you out if that’s not your first language.
Firstly, Whipsugar (ホイップシュガー) creates macarons topped with 3D icing versions of the OG three Eeveelutions. There’s no recipe for the macarons, just a guide for the decorations, including crystals too. Even if this is above your skill level (mine too) then I highly recommend watching as it’s amazing to see them finished.
Manna-Tanuki does some beautiful work on this huge cookie that you’d never want to eat. I love that each of the circles is filled with a kind of coloured sugar (or you could use melted boiled sweets) to make a crystal effect for each one. Again, this is just amazing to watch.
These little polymer clay versions of Eevee and all the Eeveelutions are so adorable, not only because they’re tiny, but because of the art style too. Pink Sugar Cotton has done a great job of making a little family of them and the tutorial covers how to mould each one and how to turn them into a charm.

Are you looking to practice your crochet? Do you think making 9 Pokemon would do? 53 Stitches offers a free crochet pattern and tutorial on how to make Eevee and the 8 Eeveelutions. Maybe start with your favourite, or Eevee, and go from there! Each tutorial is detailed with pictures AND Flareon’s has a video too to show you how to fluff up the yarn (the finished one looks SO cute).
If crochet or amigurumi isn’t your style then you could make plushies instead! Witchcrafty covers all of the Eeveelutions, so I’ve linked the whole playlist for you to browse through.
My favourite Eeveelution is Umbreon, which is yours?
