Spooky Cute Halloween Party Recipes

You’ve got the spooky tableware, but what about the food?? It’s time to start deciding on some delicious dishes for your Halloween party that will completely bewitch your guests.

Halloween rice krispie treats recipes

Let’s start with some monsters… These rice krispie treats actually makes Frankenstein’s monster look kind of adorable, don’t you think? The Simple Sweet Life has a fantastic collection of Halloween recipes including cinnamon roll brains and eyeball cookies, so make sure to take a look at the whole collection.

Halloween mochi recipes

Make your own mochi with these cute pumpkin and ghost designs (you could just pick one if it’s easier) from Ms Shi and Mr He. If this is your first time making mochi then there are super useful tips, tricks and guide photos throughout the post and recipe.

Halloween cookie recipes

Make a twist on the usual skeleton theme by creating bear skeletons! These cookies from Fork to Belly are a kind of creepy-cute but they sound really delicious, especially if you’re an Oreo fan.

Halloween cake pops recipes

Vegan Dollhouse turns a vegan pumpkin sheet cake into ‘straight-from-the-crypt’ coffin-shaped cake pops. I love how they get dipped in black icing to give them an even more otherworldly look. If you’re not sure about the decoration, then there are videos in the recipe to give you a helping hand.

Halloween recipes

I think I’d like to try my hand at these caramel meringue ghost tarts by The Little Blog of Vegan. They’re kind of like a millionaire’s shortbread topped with meringue, so they may look scary but the insides are far from it.

Halloween cupcake decorating ideas

This Halloween cupcakes recipe from Wilton is very versatile, as you can pick whichever cupcakes you like to decorate, but I just love the mish-mash of textures and colours used for the decoration. I think that you could even make them spookier, if you wanted, by giving the white parts eyes, like little ghosts. The pink and orange give it a bit of a retro feel and would actually go perfectly on these plates by Meri Meri.

Halloween cookie recipes

No one wants to get poisoned by a murderous witch, but I think you’ll be safe with these sugar cookies from Angelica Made Me. A projection of the design was used to get the icing just perfect on each one, but I think the fun of these apples is probably their haphazard drips, so if you don’t want them to be identical then free handing it would be best.

Halloween pumpkin cake recipes

I feel like I’ve saved the biggest and maybe best until last. The centrepiece for your table. This Jack-o’-lantern cake from The Simple Sweet Life is amazing and comes topped and filled with seasonal sweets! The fact that it’s made from bundt cakes means the hole in the middle is perfect for sticking lollipops into and even other sweets if you fancied having them spilling out when you cut into it.
