The holiday season is here again and that means festive spreads in our bullet journals. It’s the perfect season for journaling as there’s plenty of activities to write about, but also lists and plans to be made too. Here are some fun and seasonal ideas for your December bullet journal.

December Christmas Journaling ideas

Let’s count down to Christmas and colour a bauble a day until the 25th like the Joyful Journaler. It’s a bit like an advent calendar, only you actually have to create the picture every day.

We all know that we need a little help organising ourselves over the Christmas season and I love these Christmas spreads from Mochibujo that let us make notes for our gift lists and organise our Christmas playlists. You could use these for anything you needed to plan for but the recipe pages seem perfect for jotting down some delicious dishes for any parties you might want to host.

If you need space for more recipes then @julia.pezowicz has created a beautiful recipe booklet that sits in the middle of your journal spread. Fill it with all of your favourite seasonal recipes that you just can’t live without each year.

I love this monthly spread topped with colourful fairy lights by Rae’s Daily Page. It’s the time of year where everywhere is getting festooned with lights, so why shouldn’t your journal be the same!

@xpaperwingsx has actually used Christmas lights as her mood tracker and I love the colourful, pastel base behind (as well as the cute reindeer!) instead of the traditional red and green tones.

Papier has a few cute ideas for Christmas planning. Do you have a list of things you want to complete during December and maybe into January too? Why not create a spread for a Christmas/winter bucket list. You could draw the activities you want to do, or perhaps write a list that you can tick off.

Amanda Rach Lee also has a tutorial for matching beautiful hand lettering and larger illustrations in cards, but these would be great for quote or filler pages in your journal.
