- The Pokémon Cafe in Tokyo has been closed for renovations but will be reopening soon with a new menu and mascot shows. All the food is adorable, especially the Pikachu parfait and Snorlax burger. You can read about our visits on SCK too.
- We’ve featured Gelato Pique’s cute roomwear on the blog a few times, but I didn’t realise they also have cafes across Japan. Their new Sea Animals sweets use crepes, ice cream, cream and fruits to create animals that might actually be too cute to eat.
- Cakes with Faces’ guide to Pop-up Theme Cafes in Japan has loads more to choose from, including a very fancy Cinnamoroll afternoon tea, Pingu & Star Wars.
- If you’re in London this weekend, don’t miss the Lazy Oaf X Pompompurin preview party where you can shop the new fashion collection before it goes online on Tuesday, plus there’s a vending machine and refreshments.
- JapanLA are celebrating their 20th anniversary with lots of fun stuff including a party on 27th June in Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale now for a live performance from Kreayshawn, mascot meet & greets, activities, shopping and food & drinks!

- I really enjoy the longer articles on SoraNews24 from the perspective of their Japanese writers, and there were 2 good ones recently on disillusionment with Japan’s sticker mania and why Ghibli Park’s photo/video bans make for a better visitor experience compared to the Disney Parks.
- Did you know you can visit the mt Masking Tape Factory in Japan – on a masking tape bus! The UK mt blog has a nice article about the experience, plus check the rest of the blog for some fun creative ideas to try.
- If you enjoyed littleguymart that I shared a couple of months ago, there’s now a side blog, littlesweatermart, that shares sweater finds from Ebay with some incredible and bizarre designs.
- Vegan Dollhouse have updated their extensive guide to Vegan Sprinkles with brands, shopping links and FAQs.
- The Make Arcade is adding a free mini cross stitch pattern every week this year at The Mini Stitch Project. Recent designs include a panda, jam and mini keychains.
- There’s always at least one plush in Jellycat’s Coming Soon page that makes me laugh. This time it’s Peanut in a yeti outfit but there’s also lots of adorable woodland and camping friends.
- Cinnamoroll’s friend Cappuccino is Friend of the Month at Sanrio – download your free printable calendar and look out for some special content on their YouTube and socials. The 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking results will be announced later this month too!
- New to our blog or not checked in for a while? The Best of Super Cute Kawaii is updated every month and collects our top posts including the most popular, our own favourites and original guides & DIYs.
NendoZaiker-SNAIL’s polymer clay videos are always mind-boggling and the latest is a tiny banana room – inside a very realistic fake banana! If you haven’t seen their channel before, go have a browse for more miniatures including Pokemon, Kirby & Ghibli.
