TokyoTreat – Cherry Blossom Bites
Treat yourself or a loved one and enjoy the beauty of sakura season with TokyoTreat! It’s a fun and exclusive Japanese snack subscription box filled with limited-edition KitKats, specialty-flavoured Japanese chips, seasonal treats, and occasional Japanese sodas that are only available in Japan for a limited time. This month there are 13 different sweet and savoury items, including a full size bag of KitKats and instant noodles, plus a colour booklet. 2 items aren’t suitable for vegetarians (marshmallows & senbei).
Marceline’s Favourites
- KitKat Strawberry Shortcake – so pretty with pops of tart strawberry in white chocolate for a perfect springtime picnic treat.
- Sakura Blossom Cake – delicious moist sponge cake with sakura leaves and a creamy chocolate centre.
- Sakura Petal Marshmallows – sweet and soft petal-shaped marshmallows to add to hot chocolate or just eat straight from the bag.
- Pistachio & Strawberry Pai no Mi – flaky pastry mini pies with a subtly sweet centre.
- Sour Plum Salt Crackers – I kept sneaking these out of the bowl while taking photos as they’re so addictive! Similar to prawn crackers but with a sour and salty flavouring.

Sakuraco – Seasons of Sakura
The cherry blossom is on its way and what could be more perfect than sharing a box of Sakuraco snacks with your friends under the blooming trees. Each monthly box contains 20 traditional, authentic, and artisan Japanese snacks from local snack makers across Japan, including Japanese teas, a special Japanese tableware item and a full colour booklet. For this month’s box, there’s Sweet Sakura tea and a sakura sake glass covered in gold flowers and petals. All food items in this box are suitable for vegetarians!
Emma’s Favourites
- Sakura Manju – Delicious and super moist with a lovely sakura flavour.
- Ume Senbei – The perfect salty snack that’s got a sour kick from the plum dusted all over.
- Sakura Daifuku – The flavour creeps up on you when eating these chewy mochi, but the filling is sweet and floral without being too strong.
- Ryokucha Usuyaki – A very crisp biscuit with a subtle green tea flavour that cut through the sakura flavours in the rest of the snacks.
- Kabukiage – Crunchy, salty and sweet all in one bite with a delicious soy sauce flavour.
