If you’re taking part in a cookie swap, making cookie boxes for friends, or just want to whip up a batch for yourself then I’ve found a selection of suitably festive ones for the season.

If you’re taking part in the candy decoration trend (read my post to see what I mean) then these pink peppermint cookies at How Sweet Eats would match perfectly.

These gingerbread men macarons are the cutest addition to a Christmas gift and they’re full of gingerbread spices too. Pies & Tacos have included the template and tips on their website, which will make piping a lot easier.

I love a linzer biscuit and the Veg Space has made vegan versions of these seasonal star ones. They’re perfect to go with hot chocolate or even to top a dessert to make them look a little more festive.

If you want a challenge this year and testing your Bake Off skills, then why not try making this modern gingerbread house from Constellation Inspiration. If you like this idea, then there are a few more gingerbread creations on the website that you could try.

These piped butter cookies by Baking Again Today are so cute and I especially love the bears with little Santa hats on. I also love that they’ve added the earthy vibe of matcha for the green tree cookies. The video has Korean descriptions, but other languages (like English) have subtitles.

These Vanilla Wreath Cookies at Half Baked Harvest are really beautiful and I love the way they’ve used sugared rosemary and boiled sweets (or candy cane pieces) for decoration. The biscuits are spiced, so they’re full of Christmas flavour, and you could decorate them in any way you like – even covered in festive sprinkles.

Not everyone loves a Christmas pudding, but I can guarantee that everyone will love these triple chocolate Christmas pudding cookies from Jane’s Patisserie. I even think Father Christmas would be happy to receive these when he comes down the chimney on Christmas Eve.

I can imagine eating my way through A LOT of these light and buttery spritz cookies during a Christmas movie. You can make so many of these little bite size cookies at a time, but you do need a special cookie press to make them – Delish also have a shopping guide to help you pick one.

Cupcake Jemma has a fantastic collection of Christmas recipes, but I love how these Christmas tree macarons are an alternative presentation to the norm. They’re also packed with seasonal flavours in the form of a spiced caramel and a brandy ganache.

Which cookies or biscuits would you like to make?
