It was a sad day when Modes4u closed so we were super happy to hear that the team behind ARTBOX and Tofu Cute had stepped in to save it. The online shop is back open and based in the UK. They’re now focusing mainly on craft supplies with a huge range of kawaii fabrics from Japan, USA & Europe, plus sewing notions and a few other cute bits and pieces.
Modes4u always stocked lots of cute animal fabric and there’s still plenty of fun cat-themed designs to choose from with cats partying, doing laundry and sitting in crepes. There’s even a panel fabric with 2 big cats you can cut out and turn into bags, cushions or mats!
You’ll find lots of kawaii characters too, including Sanrio, Sumikko Gurashi and Snoopy. The Sanrio selection is especially varied with laminated fabric, iron-on transfers and less well-known characters like Mewkledreamy and Shinkansen.

It’s not all kawaii either – if you prefer florals, polka dots, stripes or solids, you’ll find there’s lots of choice, along with holiday themes and pretty much anything else you can imagine.

Modes4u is now based in the UK and ships worldwide. They’re still getting things organised so expect lots more updates throughout the year.
