Here’s another roundup of cute and creative Youtube videos by incredibly talented crafters and bakers. They might be too difficult for most of us to try but they’re super fun to watch anyway.
Whip Sugar is always my go to for this as their creations are full of tiny details, plus they’re edible too! This sugar art mini Sumikko Gurashi cafe in a teacup is one of the cutest things I’ve seen all year.
I have to include another one too because these chipmunks on macarons are mind-bogglingly detailed and realistic. I don’t think anyone could actually bear to eat these!
There are a lot of kawaii polymer clay channels but Tete’s DIY has a cool twist in that they only use ¥100 shop (dollar store) supplies. This miniature Kirby resort definitely shows that it’s talent and practice that you need and not expensive supplies.
The miniature cardboard houses of heekkong희꽁 are a bit less intimidating but still look like a lot of work for ordinary mortals. This video includes 4 cute animal houses with puppy, cat, rabbit and hamster themes, and there’s also some Sanrio character designs.
It’s not just miniatures that are tricky to make – this Bulbasaur cake by Koalipops is so cool and realistic. It’s fascinating to see how the cake base is built up and sculpted into shape.
I love watching the soap carving tutorials by mizutama.soap, even though I would never attempt it myself (that knife looks very sharp!). Can you believe these roosters are both made from a single bar of soap? This is an advanced tutorial but there are much simpler designs if you fancy trying it out.
Studio KOKKO is one of my favourite origami channels and there’s loads of tutorials for all skill levels. This rose bouquet is seriously impressive and all the folds make my brain hurt. The tutorial is in 2 parts with how to make a single rose and the stems and leaves.
I’ve been thinking about making another dollhouse kit and Tiny Craft World shares lots of videos putting together popular kits. This Ocean Island Hanging Diorama is so sweet but seems much more fun to watch than actually make myself!
