It’s that time again! The 2023 Sanrio Character Ranking site is open for voting now to find out which characters are the favourites.
This year’s theme is ‘be part of the fun and thrills!’ and seems to be about which characters make your heart pound with love. There’s 90 Sanrio characters to vote for, including 5 new characters and 7 resurrected characters. Despite missing out on the top spots in recent years, Hello Kitty is still happy to tell you all about how it works in this new video.
Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin and Kuromi were the top 3 worldwide last year – and you can look back at the regional rankings in our 2022 results post. Will you vote for your top favourite, or help boost a character that’s not so popular?
Sanrio Japan (requires forwarding service) have also released some new products to celebrate including these blind box vinyl figures with 30 characters to find. There’s also keyrings and some sweet dress-up hoods for your plushies.
You can vote every day until the 26th of May and Sanrio will be releasing regular updates on how the voting is going on the special Twitter account. It’s also worth following the official Instagram accounts @hellokittyeu (EU & UK) and @sanrio (US) for regional updates and offers.
The winner will be announced in June and we’ll share some picks with the top characters again then.
