I put my decorations up at the weekend and it was so nice to see all my Christmas plush again. I’m always tempted to add more to my display and if you’re a fan of San-X, Sanrio, Pokemon, Pusheen or Disney, here’s what’s new for this year. Rilakkuma & friends are all dressed up like Christmas cake and gingerbread, which is always a favourite with me. Kogumachan is looks so sweet with his little Rilakkuma cookie, but I do love that Kiiroitori cake too. These are all full size plush and sadly no mini ones or new Always With Rilakkuma outfits. Sumikko Gurashi have been inspired by the snowy mountain town of Yukiyama – the main characters have cosy winter outfits and the Minikkos include snow versions of the dustball, mountain and owl. You can even buy a tree to display them in. Japan / Worldwide
Sanrio aren’t making much of an effort this year – Sanrio Japan (JP / Worldwide) have plush in Santa outfits and some very cute snowglobes, while Sanrio USA only has some decorations and accessories. ARTBOX (UK) have saved the day though with these adorable dress-up outfits so you can turn your mini plush into a snowman, Santa or reindeer. There’s even accessory sets with presents, cookies etc. Check the rest of the Sanrio collection for more Christmas cuteness including Hello Kitty & Pompompurin Christmas Fairy plushies, blind box ornaments and a plush Christmas tree!
The Pokemon Center has loads of cute new Christmas plush, both in large and keychain size. I especially love Santa Piplup riding Mantyke and Pikachu in a gift box! There’s lots of other holiday stuff too if you’re not into plush. US & Canada / Worldwide
Disney have some holiday Tsum Tsums that you can pile up into a plushie Christmas tree. They don’t seem to be available at the US/UK stores but you can order them from Disney Japan or VeryGoods.
The Pusheen Shop sold out of the new light-up Christmas plush immediately but there’s still some stock at GUND (US) as I write this. If you miss out, the mini surprise plush make cute tree decorations (and stocking fillers) – you can find a few different sets at The Pusheen Shop (US), ARTBOX (UK), Amazon and more.
