I can be lazy when it comes to painting my nails, but I get really inspired when I see so many beautiful designs out there on social media. I’ve got a selection of tutorials here with some wonderful winter & Christmas designs for all those festive activities and then a few cute character inspired nail designs for the new year.
We’re going to start with a collection of festive nail designs from Cosmopolitan. These range from beginner level up to some you’ll need a very patient and steady hand for. I love the twinkling star design and the Christmas lights, but I think the plaid nails might be a bit out of my league.
If the gems used on the Christmas light design above was a little OTT for you, then here’s a similar design using all nail polish from 25 Sweetpeas. I love the bright colours and the little white reflections on these ones.
I know so many of you out there love Pusheen, so this design from Not Your Average Nails is my gift to you. If painting one on each nail seems like way too much, you could always do Pusheen on one accent nail and then paint the rest in pink.
This next tutorial from Kia Charlotta (a vegan beauty brand) is an explosion of Christmas, with a candy cane design on one nail and a gift on another, balanced out with a lovely forest green shade. If the gift seems a bit too hard, maybe just give the striped nails a go.
With travel starting back up again for some, more and more people are returning to the Disney Parks. So what better way to celebrate, whether you’re in the parks or just enjoying other people’s videos, than with a collection of Mickey & Minnie nail art from Nails by Jema. She’s got polka dots and Mickey heads galore!
If you want to give nail art a try, but don’t have the tools, then Cute Polish is here to give you 5 different seasonal designs all achieved with a toothpick. I really want to try out the mistletoe!
Winnie the Pooh is one of my favourite characters and this quick and simple design from DisneyStyle portrays him perfectly without needing a lot of expertise. Maybe I’ll try this one out while watching Pooh’s Christmas movie!
If, like me, you aspire to make your nails look like a Scandinavian-style knitted jumper then this tutorial from Yoko-Nailart will definitely be for you. It looks like it will take a while, but the effect is really beautiful!
And don’t forget to check out SCK’s book, The Super Cute Book of Kawaii, for more cute nail art inspiration and tips!
