Introducing Chickip Dancers

Have you ever wanted to be the first to know about a character? Well, San-x just announced a new set of characters, the Chickip Dancers!

Chickip Dancers

Possibly trying to capitalize on the popularity of Sumikko Gurashi, the Chickip Dancers are a similar group of unlikely friends including food items. There’s a bone-in chicken (Hone Chicken), a dango (Dango-chan), a candy apple (Apple Ame-chan), a skipping frog teacher (Skip Frog Sensei) and more.

Start by checking out their theme song on Youtube, it’s really cheerful and catchy (and already stuck in my head, “Skip, step, skip-skip, ahhhh”).

The Chickip Dancers have a new animation series starting in a few days, and made by the same company as the Aggretsuko series, so tune in and be one of their first fans!

You can find more information about them on the San-x website where you can also download free wallpapers. You can also get updates on all things Chickip by following their Twitter @chickipdancers, which should brighten up your feed. There should be some products later in the year too.
