I always love seeing what all the kawaii characters are up for for spooky season and Halloween plush are already on sale. If you’re a fan of San-X, Sanrio, Pokemon, Pusheen or Disney, here’s what’s new. For the Japan-based shops, we have a guide on how to buy from Japan if you want to shop directly, or VeryGoods ship worldwide and stock most of these products.

Pokemon have gone for a Pumpkin Banquet theme which includes my favourite plush so far, snacking Snorlax! The Japanese store has a bigger collection with squishies, homeware, decorations and more. US & Canada / Japan / Worldwide

Sanrio Japan’s Halloween collection includes 2 sizes of plushies with all the main characters looking super cute – that’s just a few above. The larger plush are dressed up in colourful Halloween outfits and the keyring size have pumpkin bodies. There’s also some sparkly candy cases and hair accessories. Japan / Worldwide

Rilakkuma & friends have gone for a Darkness Halloween theme, with angel and devil elements. These aren’t totally working for me but I do love all the fluffy fur and those little pumpkin bags. There’s also smaller keyring plush with patchwork and bandages. Japan / Worldwide

Sumikko Gurashi’s theme is Fairy Gothic and they’re all having fun in the dress up box. Most of these are small size so quite affordable, but selling fast. I really want all of these. Japan / Worldwide

Disney always make a big deal of Halloween at the parks and even if you can’t go, there’s plenty of cute things to buy. There’s quite a few plushies to choose from including Tsum Tsums and UniBearsity, while the main Halloween range has a few popular characters, but also tons of other fun stuff like decorations, accessories and pins. Main Disney Store (locations worldwide) / Japan / Worldwide

Just squeezing into this post at the last minute is Pusheen’s new Halloween plush. It’s a Jack-O’-Lantern Squisheen that has Pusheen’s face on one side and a carved face on the back. Available exclusively from The Pusheen Shop (US) along with some pins, jewellery, t-shirt and more. And don’t forget the Fall Pusheen Box and Cat Kit, which will both be full of spooky surprises.
