New craft supplies always make me feel so inspired to create all the things, especially if there’s a whole rainbow of colours to choose from. Here’s some colourful craft supplies from Etsy shops for your next project.
Laura Howard (UK) has re-opened her shop with lots of affordable craft supplies including rainbows of wool felt available as small sets of themed colours or a whole pack of 60. It’s great for all kinds of hand-sewing projects – have a look in our archives or check out Laura’s free tutorials. There’s also a matching rainbow set of embroidery thread.
If you love to cross stitch, our own Panda-san has started selling incredible aida fabric in all kinds of cool colours and prints at Claire Brown XStitch (UK). These magical pastel shades would make any pattern look kawaii. Claire has some free cross stitch patterns or we have lots in the archives. PS. the aida is selling fast but check back for regular restocks.
If jewellery making is your thing, Happy Kawaii Supplies (USA) have everything you need, whether you prefer decoden, resin or clay. For an easy starter project, pick up one of the many grab bags of kawaii cabochons which you can turn into charms, necklaces and hair accessories.
We feature a lot of polymer clay crafts on SCK, and if you’d like to give it a go Itsy Bitsy Haven (Australia) have all the tools plus clay in every colour imaginable including pastel, glitter and translucent. I really like these bargain multipacks with 12 different colours to start you off.
If you don’t like complicated crafts, rubber stamps are easy enough for anyone to use and great for making cards or journaling. Ink pads come in so many colours and I love these rainbow strips from Efplanner (Hong Kong) who also sells individual mini pads.
