Even though we’d just come back from Japan I couldn’t resist a visit to Hyper Japan for more kawaii. I sadly didn’t manage to meet Gloomy Bear in the end but me and Koguma-chan still had lots of fun!
Snow Bunny craft workshop
Making this adorable fluffy bunny was so much fun and I’m so happy with how it turned out! Ok maybe it could do with a haircut but it’s still super cute!
Browsing all the stalls
Even if I don’t buy much I love to see all the cute new items on everyone’s stalls. I did manage a few purchases from small independent designers such as our faves The Fuzzballs who have an awesome new Christmas range and Geri Draws Japan with her wonderful illustrations. I love my Fuji-san pin!
My purchases; coaster by @fuzzballsofficial, sheep ring on bunny by @hikidreams, Mini-Tofu figurine by @dvrb_sis, Mt Fuji pin from @geridrawsjapan.
Dressing up
Hyper Japan always gives me a good excuse to wear some kawaii fashions and my outfit included purchases from our Japan trip including a Rilakkuma sweatshirt, ‘Help’ bag from Asoko customised with badges from B-Side Label and a kawaii Jaws plushie, Jaws bracelet and a Pikachu scarf.
Tofu-Oyako
It was really cool to meet the designer of this quirky character, Shinichiro Kitai, and he even signed the Mini-Tofu figurine I bought.
ARTBOX
Koguma loved the Sanrio wall at the ARTBOX stall as he is missing Japan and he felt right at home with all the cute characters. He was a bit freaked out by the giant Koguma head cushion though!
You can see more of my photos and videos from the day in our saved highlight on Instagram. The next Hyper Japan event will be held at Olympia in London on 12th – 14th July 2019.
