Vinted is my favourite place to shop online for new and used fashion. Here’s some tips to help you get started and find kawaii brands and characters, plus a look at some of my favourite buys.
What is Vinted?
Vinted is an online pre-loved marketplace with a website and free app (Apple/Android) available in selected EU countries (including Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany & Italy), plus the UK, USA & Canada. Find and sell unwanted or second hand clothes, accessories and other items including kawaii fashion and plushies quickly and easily.
These adorable cat face shoes from TUK were in excellent condition.
How does it work?
Vinted is so easy to use! Just set up your account and browse the categories or get searching for specific items or brands. You can also save your searches to make it easier to check when new items are available.
If you find something you like, use the favourite button to save it so you can easily find it again. It may be worth making an offer, especially if the item has been listed for a while as you may get it cheaper but if you really love it then it’s best to buy it straight away in case someone else snaps it up first! Don’t be too discouraged if you miss out as there are always new items uploaded every day.
Once your purchase has been accepted the buyer has to send it within 5 working days and you can choose from a range of options including shipping to your house, a local shop or locker. The package will be tracked and an email sent to let you know when it has been delivered.
I love the cute honey bee design on this shirt and it’s so comfy! Harajuku Lovers ‘Love’ is my favourite perfume but it’s quite hard to get hold of so was happy to find it for sale on Vinted.
What’s it good for?
- It’s an eco-friendly alternative to fast fashion as you’re buying unwanted items that might otherwise go to landfill.
- You can get brand new items cheaper than in the shops and pick up used clothes for low prices.
- Charity shops are great for a bargain but can be very hit or miss. With Vinted you can search your size and easily find clothes you love.
- It is great for plus-sized people who find it more difficult to find items to fit in the usual high street shops.
- Missed out on an item from your favourite designer? Try Vinted and you might get lucky! I love Irregular Choice shoes and Vinted is an affordable way to expand my collection of cute shoes.
- Are your favourite shoes worn out? Did you lose that cute jacket? You may be able to find the same item for sale on Vinted.
- You’ll also find general items including plush, homewares, stationery, books, beauty and lots more.
Kawaii brands & characters to look out for
I am definitely a shoe addict and have found some amazing pairs including cat shoes from TUK and cute Irregular Choice bird print shoes. The pink glittery Vans might be my favourite ever shoes! They’re so sparkly and fun to wear.

Selling on Vinted
As well as finding lots of awesome clothes and shoes on Vinted, I have been able to sell some of my old clothes which I no longer wear. This helps clear out my wardrobe while also making money! I have found the process of selling on Vinted very easy and the app has a guide to help you with it.
Just take a few photos of each item and upload to the app with a description. Make sure you mention and photograph any issues such as holes or stains that the purchaser should know about to avoid disappointment and bad reviews.
It’s best to take all the photos of the items at one time then you can upload them all later while watching tv to make it less tedious!
Don’t list the price as suggested by the app as it is usually way too low. You should add on a little bit more than you want for the item so you can bring the price down later. If you’re not sure how much to list it for then take a look for similar items. Make sure you price items fairly. People will still buy them if you are honest about the condition and even selling for a few pounds will help increase your balance.
The best thing about selling on Vinted is you can choose how to ship items. I find it difficult to get to the Post Office so try to ship by InPost as much as possible, although it does limit the amount of people who will want to buy the item.
Once the buyer has received the item and is happy with it your payment will be released to your account and you can with withdraw the money or use it to purchase more cool stuff from Vinted.
My username is jijipunch and I currently have some cute items for sale, including a Rilakkuma sweatshirt and cat ear beret. Marceline will also be listing some items soon as marcelinesmith.
Have you used Vinted yet? What’s your cutest buy?
