Last Sunday I was back at Hyper Japan for the second time this year for the Christmas Marke and here are some of my highlights.
The thing I like best about Hyper Japan is that it features all different aspects of Japan including art, music and culture plus it’s a good opportunity to pick up a few kawaii Christmas gifts.
I arrived at 12 so lunch was my first priority. There were lots of yummy food stalls to choose from and chose the wild mushroom bao and pretty rose bubble tea.
After lunch, I headed straight for the Artbox stand to take a selfie at the beach area and bag myself the Gudetama balloon I missed out on at Comic Con.
I visited the extremely popular Tofu Cute stand to check out their super kawaii Christmas tree and it was just adorable! I also got an amazing kitty microwave from one of the gashapon outside.
There were plenty of kawaii stalls downstairs where I picked up a cute octopus brooch from Jazzy Menagerie and stopped by the Fuzzballs stall to have a look at their awesome new plushies which come with magnetic food!
The culture section featured some wonderful items including ornaments made from vintage kimono, calligraphy and ceramic art.
It was nearly time for the needle felting workshop but I managed to grab a delicious cookies & cream waffle and caught the end of The Tomboys set which was so energetic and fun!
I really enjoyed needle felting even though my star didn’t quite turn out as planned! It’s still pretty cute and is like to give it a try again sometime.
Thank you Hyper Japan for another fun event! The next one is in July 2017.
