I went to my first ever MCM Comic Con in London last weekend and I was blown away by the size of it! There was even a funfair with dodgems and a haunted house. Here’s some of my highlights.
I spent most of my time in the PopAsia section but there were so many stalls that I didn’t manage to get round them all.
I made a beeline for the Artbox booth to check out the Sanrio x Artbox collaboration!
There were 5 exclusive Gudetama pins available to buy and a special pin you could only get by filling in their stamp card. All the designs were super cute but I went for the one called ‘Egg Butt’ – apparently this was the most popular one!
It was the best decorated stall with a Gudetama beach area for photo ops and amazing Gudetama balloons.
There were also lots of my other faves such as Rilakkuma, Pusheen and Sumikko Gurashi – I couldn’t resist these squee-tastic icecream cone plushies! Tofu Cute also had a large booth with plenty of Japanese snacks for sale and their awesome lucky bags. They had a new Panda lucky bag with a mixture of snacks and toys, for those of us who find it hard to choose!
I was very excited to check out the tokidoki booth and spent ages trying to decide what to buy because it was all so adorable!
I really wanted a jellyfish tee but they didn’t have it in my size so I went for the Tokidoki x Hello Kitty Moofia one instead and I love it.
I also got a Unicorno blind box and they put my purchases in a fab Tokidoki tote for me!
The highlight for me was meeting this adorable giant Loppy – too cute!
My last purchase before leaving was this fantastic Pikachu cupcake from Amazing Cake – it tasted just as amazing as it looked!
I had a brilliant time at MCM London Comic Con and will definitely be back next year. They also hold events across the UK and Europe so check the homepage to find one near you.
