If I ever make it over to the USA one of my first stops is going to be Giant Robot. They have galleries in New York and San Francisco and put out an awesome magazine covering “cool aspects of Asian and Asian-American pop culture”. They’re always featuring my favourite artists and they’re kind enough to extend that to their online shop which is chock-full of awesomeness by new and established artists as well as some cool Japanese imports. I picked out 5 things but it could easily have been 50. International shipping too!
Yay, Domokun! This plush has our hero all kitted out to do the shot put! I’d get out of his way if I were you. He’s also available as a swimmer, runner and gymnast if shot put isn’t your thing.
Shinzi Katoh is the master of whimsical cute – this bee mug set is just adorable and would make afternoon tea a very special treat.
Giant Robot have approximately 7 billion vinyl toys in their shop but this little pink Treeson is probably the cutest. I love the matching little sleeping bag tent thing to keep it cosy.
Catering for all budgets is the stationery section – this High Spirits postcard by Takashi Murakami is only $3 and is sure to cheer up anyone’s day.
Last up is this cute and bright coin pouch by Gama-Go featuring a two headed chicken. What’s not to like?
