The 2025 Sanrio Character Ranking is still running and if you haven’t voted for your favourite character/s yet, there’s still time! Here’s a look at how the voting is going (potential spoilers, I guess!) and some cute picks with less popular characters.
Sanrio have shared the interim results and it’s looking very similar to last year, except that Pompompurin has leaped up from 4th to 1st! We don’t know how close it is so I refuse to get my hopes up but maybe the pudding pup will finally pull off the win after years of runner-up places. You can also check the regional voting to see who’s popular around the world. As well as bragging rights, the winning character gets a special product collection – plus I’m sure Sanrio use this to help plan future releases in each region – so it’s definitely worth helping boost your faves. You can vote every day until May 25th.
US readers with less popular favourite characters should be feeling lucky as Sanrio (US) have lots of new releases featuring some surprising faces. Chococat is Friend of the Month and also leads the Cat Club Series with Noranekoland, Nya Ni Nyu Nye Nyon, and Masyumaro on a range of bags and accessories. You’ll also find new items featuring U*SA*HA*NA, CharmmyKitty and Sugarbunnies.
