Here’s our review of the Spring Pusheen Box with a Loafing Around theme full of cute bakery-themed items for you and your home. Full spoilers ahead if yours hasn’t arrived yet.
This arrived just as I got back from holiday so was fun to unpack while recovering from my travels. The box is not too exciting this time with just some bread on the side but the vinyl figure has Pusheen sitting like a loaf on top of a bagel. It’s a really cute design that’s different to all the previous toys and not too big either.
Inside everything was looking warm and toasty with cream, brown and natural wood . There were 8 items in the Spring 2024 Pusheen Box – hoodie, ceramic mug, wooden tray, mini plush, eye mask, journal, sticker sheet and vinyl figure. Let’s have a closer look at my favourites.
Hoodie
I appreciate Pusheen Box continuing to upgrade my wardrobe! I’ve been wearing the Winter 2022 hoodie constantly so I was super happy to get another one. This time it’s a cream colour with cute bakery-themed prints on the front and back. I’m sure they’ll make people smile when I wear it out and about.
It’s a little more close-fitting than the previous hoodie, but that makes it better for wearing out and layering, rather than just lounging around. I’m sure this will be the most-used item from the box, by far.
Mug & Tray
My cupboards are jam-packed with Pusheen Box mugs and glasses and yet they keep making useful and different designs that I end up using a lot. This ceramic mug is described as ‘purrfect for morning coffee’ but it’s a heavy mug with a wide and shallow shape that I personally think is better suited for soup or stew (with crusty bread on the side of course!). As a proud member of The Carb Club, I look forward to using this regularly.
It makes a perfect pair with the wooden tray, which is another of my favourite items. I love the round design that’s just big enough for one and the bamboo wood feels very sturdy without being heavy, plus it has handles – and Pusheen! (The fact that I was still hoarding hot cross buns in the freezer should be proof of my Carb Club credentials)
I have had a couple of major coffee spillages lately so this great timing to get myself back in the habit of using a tray. It’s already working out well for breakfast in bed.
Mini Plush
It’s been a long time since we last got a plush – Summer 2022 was the most recent and then all the way back in Winter 2020. I don’t think I’ve kept any of the plushies as they were never very unique, often being the same plush with an accessory stitched on. This one is adorable though – a round Pusheen loaf with embroidered details and tiny ears, tail and paws! It’s a nice small size that will fit in nicely with my Meowchi collection, and very squishy.
I love that it fits perfectly into the mug! That probably wasn’t intentional but it’s extremely cute nonetheless.
Sticker Sheet
I’m always happy to get stationery and this is a massive sheet with four stickers, in the style of a Pusheen comic. They’re similar to vinyl stickers but a little thinner.
I’m really bad about hoarding stickers and never using them so I put one on my laptop and now I can enjoy it every day.
Final Thoughts
The other items are a satin eye mask (soft and silky but I’ve never found them useful myself) and a journal (nice fabric cover but otherwise no special features). The rest of the box was amazing though and I’m already using the hoodie, mug and tray, and have put the plush and vinyl figure on display. The item designs were perhaps a little bit repetitive with the same 2 illustrations across everything, but I’m a bread fan and don’t mind that too much. It would be nice to see a bit more variety in future but that looks likely for next time…
