It’s not officially winter yet but it sure feels like it here in Scotland. If you’re also struggling to keep warm, here’s some cosy winter accessories featuring some of our favourite kawaii characters.
Cute slippers don’t just keep your feet warm but help entertain your local delivery workers! San-X have a new range of Pyoko Pyoko plush slippers with bunny ears that move as you walk for extra fun. Shirokuma is the obvious choice here as he hates the cold, but other Sumikko Gurashi and Rilakkuma versions are available too via VeryGoods (JP).
EMP (UK) have some really cute exclusive Pusheen merchandise (check out the coat!) and these Meowgical fingerless gloves are sure to make you feel very fancy. There’s a matching pom pom hat too.
I’ve come around to fluffy socks in recent years and these BT21 Baby Cooky socks at ARTBOX (UK) are so sweet with the little pom pom hats.
The Pokemon Center (US/UK) has a fun range of scarves, hats and touchscreen gloves themed around various Pokemon. The Charizard design has so many great details but there’s also Pikachu, Ditto and more.
One Japanese winter accessory that hasn’t quite caught on here yet is the haramaki, or belly-warmer. Keeping your core warm does seem sensible though and it also covers any gaps between your clothes. Sanrio (JP – requires forwarding service) have a cute selection if you want to give it a try.
