Hung hay fat choy! Lunar New Year is today and we’re celebrating the Year of the Tiger in kawaii-style!

Send a loved one a charming New Year care package from Noodoll’s Lunar New Year section (UK). I recommend the Ricetiger, Ricebao dumpling, Lunar New Year sticker set, and lucky pineapple greeting card.

My favorite local Japanese artist, Tomoko Alfonso AKA Catnip Art Studio (US) has designed a sticker sheet just for the year of the tiger. I love that these handmade stickers are water resistant, the perfect kawaii-touch for a water bottle or bento box. If you live in Oregon, you can pick up her stickers and other art at Oyatsupan Bakers.

You can commemorate 2022 with a Hello Kitty Year of the Tiger 2022 plush at Sanrio (US). I love that the year is printed on her bow in gold, which matches her little gold paws. There’s a My Melody plush too.

Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi are ready for Lunar New Year at Cuteness (EU).

Korilakkuma is wearing a little white tiger suit and I love the tiny tiger sitting on top. I also just learned that “shopping cart” in Dutch is “winkelwagen” and I am delighted!

I was pleasantly surprised that Target (US) has an entire product section devoted to Lunar New Year. I’ll be picking up these cute tiger plates for our celebration this year.

They even have a beautiful special edition Barbie Signature Lunar New Year doll. You can also find it on Amazon if you’re not in the US.

Decorate your home by creating some DIY decorations using this truly kawaii clipart from CockatooDesign. There are so many characters in this pack; I love the little tiger family.

If you are introducing the Lunar New Year to kids, you can download fun, free printable activities from In the Playroom. You’ll find more DIY ideas in Marceline’s recent Year of the Tiger Crafts & Activities post too.
I hope this new year brings you luck and kawaii to you and your family!
