Christmas shopping deadlines are coming up fast, and if you’d like to buy from kawaii artists and makers, Etsy is always a great place to browse. Here’s a mix of handmade gifts, festive supplies and crafts to make, plus there’s more gift guides at the end.
Kukubee (CAN) have been adding lots of adorable stationery to their shop and it’s hard to choose from the Christmas designs. These Winter Kitties gift tags are perfect for adding a cute touch to your presents, and there’s stickers and a notepad too.
Christmas tree ornaments are a fun gift for friends who love the holidays and everyone’s tree could do with some wooden Christmas Cat Baubles by So Cute Company (UK).
If you haven’t quite moved on from Halloween yet, Lydia Jean Art (US) has a whole collection of spooky festive postcards that will make a change from the usual Santas and snowmen.
Perforated stamp washi tape is an easy way to decorate mail and this Christmas-themed roll has 9 cute designs. It’s available from a few shops including BusyBeePlannerStudio (UK).
PeachpinkArt (UK) is a South Korean artist who makes some very cute original stationery. These polco sticker sheets come in 2 festive designs with a sparkly holographic finish.
There’s quite a few Christmas-themed dollhouse kits on Etsy but I love the idea of a DIY snow globe ornament, even if it doesn’t actually have the snow effect. This kit from bigbabybakery (HK) includes everything you need and will keep you or a crafty friend busy for hours.
You can always rely on Twinkie Chan for kawaii crochet ideas for the holidays and my favourite are these vintage-style snowman ice cream cones. It’s a digital pattern so you can get started ASAP and make some as ornaments.
Cross stitch is a pretty fast craft so even if this kawaii festive wreath by Ellbie Co. looks intimidating, you’ve probably got time to stitch it up in time for the big day. Even if you don’t, it’s a nice project to work on over the holidays to use next year. It’s available as both a kit (UK) and digital pattern.
Nuvolina Handmade have so many cute Christmas felt sewing patterns that you really need to take a look yourself. I’m especially fond of the robins, which would make lovely ornaments. They’re all digital so you can use whatever supplies you already have,
If you’re not sure what to buy a crafty friend or relative, I can recommend the Creative Kawaii Box (UK). Inside every box are 3 seasonal craft projects with everything you need to complete them. There’s always a good mix of crafts that are suitable for beginners so you never know what you might get to try. The Winter box is available for pre-order now while the contents are a secret, and there’s a few Autumn boxes in stock where you can see what’s inside.
