Easter Bunny Bookmarks DIY Tutorial

Make your own cute Easter bunny bookmark for the holiday weekend! This adorable bunny holding an Easter egg makes a great gift and is really easy to sew. You can also make a no-sew version by gluing the pieces together or use card instead of felt.

Print the paper template. It should fit both A4 and Letter size paper but you can print it any size you like. Cut out all the pieces and pin to your felt sheets.

Cut 2 bunny templates out of felt and the paws in the same colour. Cut out the tail from white felt and the egg in colourful felt. You can also use patterned felt or sew a pattern on the egg to make it prettier. I just added a wide orange stripe to mine.

Position the egg on the bunny with the paws on top of the egg and pin in place so the bunny is holding the egg. Pin the tail onto the second bunny piece. Sew on all pieces using matching thread and a simple running stitch.

Sew a cute face on the bunny. I’ve shared some ideas of different faces at the end of this post but a simple X makes a great bunny nose and mouth! Beads or small buttons can also be used for the eyes.

Pin both sides together and sew around the whole bunny shape. Don’t worry if it’s a bit wonky as you can trim it after. Using two layers makes the bookmark a bit more sturdy and also hides your stitching neatly inside.

You can change the item Bunny is holding to make it a fun gift for any occasion and use any colours or patterns you like. I made an Angel Bunny version for Marceline so why not try making your own favourite bunny characters into bookmarks too!
