Kawaii Advent Calendars

Advent calendars are a fun way to count down to Christmas with a cute treat every day. I’m usually happy enough with a basic chocolate one, but here’s some kawaii advent calendars to make your December even cuter including some DIY options.

Paperchase’s amazing stationery calendar is sadly sold out but they have more advent calendars including this one filled with erasers. It’s only £10 (with shipping available worldwide) and you get a cute little Iwako-style eraser every day.

A squishy every day would be a dream come true for some – if that’s you, there are a few different squishy advent calendars available on Amazon (UK / USA).

Want something different than chocolate? The 24 Days of Candy advent calendars by Squish Candies have fun gummies inside, with lots of fun shapes and flavours. There’s a vegan version too. (USA/Canada shipping only)

Disney fans have a few different advent calendars to choose from, starting at just £15. Mega fans will love the Disneyland Paris Mickey and Friends calendar with a bauble-shaped pin every day, though it’s a wallet-breaking £149!

Or why not make your own? Mollie at Wild Olive is running a Sending Christmas Cuteness advent calendar where you’ll receive a cute seasonal character to stitch every day from December 1st – 25th. You can choose from either embroidery or cross stitch for an introductory price of $8.

I also love this Paperchase tutorial that just uses envelopes to fill with small treats. It doesn’t give full instructions but the designs are easy to copy and some stickers and googly eyes would make it even easier. You could also use this as gift wrapping for a voucher or tickets.
