Recently Hot Chocolate sent me a pair of their ‘Thank You Music’ platform shoes which features an all over music note print and piano keys.
The design’s mismatched look was what drew me in, plus the black and white color scheme goes with my ‘all black everything’ closet. As a bonus they go up to a size US Women’s 11 which is a hard to find size in cute fashion forward brands.
I have worn the shoes out a few times and each time I do people stop me to give me compliments. One little girl even said she wanted to play the piano on my shoes! They run true to size and the platforms add just enough height that I can wear them without feeling clumsy.
I personally like mixing patterns and fabric materials to break up an all black wardrobe. My rule with pattern mixing is to keep it in the same color family and print size. Adding a plain basic like a skirt or top to anchor your look will keep things looking cute not wonky!
