Meet Berry and Cherry of Lloromannic! These cute demons from Sanrio are perfect for spooky season, plus we’ve found some cute merch and DIYs too.
I only realised a couple of weeks ago that these are Sanrio characters and had to find out more. Much like Kuromi & My Melody, Berry (the grey boy demon) and Cherry (the pink girl demon) are rivals to Cinnamoroll and his puppy friends – and if you read Lloromannic backwards you’ll understand the name! They’re also mischievous troublemakers who like to play tricks.
I was a little surprised to see Cherry & Berry are the stars of the Sanrio Halloween collection at Build-A-Bear (global) but they’re such a great fit with their Gothic Lolita style. You can even get Lloromannic-patterned clothing to fit any of the plush (and I would totally wear that dress myself!). There’s also a fun Spooky Webs Cinnamoroll to hang out with them.
Sanrio (US) only have a small Lloromannic section so far, but the keychain plush are very cute with a heart-shaped clip for hanging on your bag. There’s also a tee and keyring that are currently discounted if you want a bargain. Outside the US, the plush are available from Meccha Japan (JP) and Plaza Japan (JP).
Hot Topic (US) have some cool Lloromannic clothing including an incredible split colour cable knit cardigan with embroidered details and heart buttons! There’s also a necklace set to share with your best friend. Sizes XS-3X + plus sizes.
If you missed out on earlier releases, Kawaii Republic (JP) have secondhand plush and accessories that are long sold out. This tote bag includes Cinnamoroll too with gold printing on the front and a colourful patterned lining.
Hopefully we’ll see more DIYs for Halloween but in the meantime, the official Hello Kitty and Friends channel has a couple of videos including this simple drawing tutorial for both Cherry & Berry.

Craft Monster ERI ch uses paper cups to make an easy and fun Cherry decoration that reveals lots of different faces when you twist it. You can use this as inspiration to make Berry too – or something even easier like a ghost.
