Getting a new Pusheen Box to review four times a year is one of the major highlights of running SCK and I end up using and wearing so many of the items that it’s a running joke when my family visit. In 2021 and 2024, I had a look back at some of the items I’d been using a lot so here’s another batch with new photos to see how they’re holding up.
My current favourite item is the 15th anniversary embroidered cap from Spring 2025. I didn’t even really mention it in the review but I’ve been wearing it constantly this summer. The hats are usually too big for me but this one is the perfect size and small enough to stash in my bag, plus I love the colour and design. I lost it in a hotel recently and had a minor panic but thankfully it was handed into reception. I probably need to buy another one as a backup!
Every Pusheen Box has an apparel item and I especially love the hoodies and wear them all the time. The 15th anniversary (Spring 2025) and Carb Club (Spring 2024) hoodies are my current favourites as they’re a light but cosy layer that works for most of the year, and fits under my jacket in the winter. I especially like them for travel as they’re so comfy.
I wash them very carefully so they both still look really good with only a bit of bobbling on the lower back from my bag and seats. I’m really amazed that I haven’t spilled anything on that cream hoodie yet!
The Carb Club wooden tray (Spring 2024) has been used almost every day since it arrived, usually for breakfast in bed as it’s very sturdy surface with a deep rim and carry handles. It’s still looking perfect, despite regularly splashing coffee on it. I also use the mug from that box a lot for soup.
The winter-themed pot holders (Winter 2024) fit nicely inside the tray for a bit of padding, though only because I accidentally shrunk them in a hot wash, oops! Remember to read the labels. They’re not really thick enough for oven-hot trays but great for a warm bowl of porridge. Despite daily use, they’re not too stained, though they could do with a wash soon.
It feels a bit insulting to say you’re using something as a rubbish bin but a Halloween candy jar (Fall 2019) is too specific an item and the lid having no seal means there’s limited alternative uses. Tabletop bins are a crafting must-have so now it lives on my coffee table ready for felt scraps, threads, backing paper and the like. It looked unusually pretty recently while cutting out more felt flowers so I took a photo. (Yes, we should all be saving our scraps but I’m already hoarding far too much stuff in case I might possibly use it some day). It’s a bit scratched up but the print is perfect.
Sometimes it takes years before an item suddenly becomes useful and this floor mat (Spring 2021) has just been lying pointlessly behind an armchair for years. I set my bike up there on a home trainer last year and it was perfectly positioned to protect my carpet with a rubber backing to keep everything from sliding around. I really need to get a proper full length mat but I’m glad it finally found a temporary use – though I am definitely not ‘takin’ it easy’ while cycling. The mat even looks better than the original photo as the folds have flattened out and relaxed.
After 31 boxes (!), my collection of vinyl figures is getting out of hand and they’re everywhere! My bedroom bookshelf is full and now the unit in my living room is overflowing too so new ones get crammed in wherever I can find a spot. The oldest figures are 10 years old and still look perfect with no fading or other issues.
While I was taking photos, the wooden perpetual calendar (Spring 2019) is the oldest item still in daily use, before we got review boxes. I now also have a Rilakkuma perpetual calendar with the whole month.
