I don’t know about you, but I feel like Pokopia has been taking over social media recently with the launch of the new game on Switch 2. The use of Ditto and their infamous look has inspired many crafts, alongside new versions of popular characters. If you wanted to bring your gameplay into the real world, then here are a few crafts and recipes that’ll help you get there!
The image of Ditto floating underneath a Drifloon is pretty iconic now and Adukimame Create has made a lovely desktop version of this using clay for the model and faux grass for the stand. It would be perfect as a little desk buddy.
If you want to practice your icing or piping skills, then this Pokopia island tutorial by Manna Tanuki would be a great place to do it. While this is technically an edible creation, it’s basically just sugar, so one more for the practice and display rather than consumption!
Asobi Fun Origami creates Ditto out of paper! The tutorial takes you through every step and it’s always very clear what to do. You could create a little army of them if you wanted or use it as a fun activity to do with friends.
If you have a celebration coming up for a friend that loves Pokopia, then this Ditto cake from Sugar High Score could be fun to try! It takes a bit of carving to get the shape, but with the template to guide, the end result is so fun.
My nephew wants one of these and I don’t blame him; these Ditto amigurumi by An Design Craft are adorable. The video takes you step by step and puts all of the instructions on screen, so it should be easy to follow – and obviously you can pause as you go if you’re not as fast.
I’m obsessed with the Mosslax (a Snorlax form in the game where moss has taken over as they’ve been asleep for so long). The Pokemon Center in Japan has a Mosslax plush but luckily I can create my own by following this clay Mosslax tutorial from Yeppenny Doodles, which utilises craft moss to cover the outside of a clay figure. I love it.

If you’d rather have a pattern to follow, Crochet by Dyll has free and paid patterns. They’ve got a lot of different Pokemon to choose from, but this Ditto Gengar crochet x cross stitch tile pattern set jumped out at me with both Pokemon appearing in Pokopia.
