Summer always makes me crave fresh fruit; there’s nothing better than having cold, juicy fruit on a hot summer day. The original plan was a roundup of cute fruit plushies, but I came across these fruit/animal mashups that were too adorable to not share.
It’s pretty fun to see the combinations that people have come up with. First up is a Bananaduck, whom I’ve kind of fallen in love with. Made by Minteafox (EU), this is considered a collectible art plush and is originally from one of their Kickstarter campaigns.
I love moths, and I would have never thought to combine them with fruit! Toasty Teacup (US) has created three furry cuties in kiwi, orange and dragonfruit, all with faux fur body, minky fabric wings and embroidered eyes, mouth, and antenna.
I think no matter which fruit you went with of this handmade fruit turtle crochet plushie by Loop and Billie (CA) you couldn’t go wrong. I especially like the peach one; it’s fuzzy just like the actual fruit! There’s also a crochet pattern, if you want to make some yourself.
Squishable (US) has this very kawaii Strawberry Penguin as part of their Alter Egos series.
Up next is another penguin, Badtz-Maru, as a pineapple. This reversible plush was originally from TeeTurtle but can be found at Claire’s (US).
Also at Claire’s in the US & UK, and an exclusive I felt I had to share for Pusheen fans, as part of the new Fruits collection – Kiwi Pusheen.
