I can’t imagine anyone being scared of this happy little butterfly! The felt sewing pattern by Nuvolina Handmade is so sweet and it should be quite easy to stitch up.

These Pet Bugs knitting patterns from Mochimochi Land are a cute mashup of insects and mammals with Doggerpillar, Bunnybee, Hamsterfly and Snitten! As well as the digital pattern bundle, they’re also available individually as kits (US).
There are a lot of lovely bug-themed cross stitch and embroidery patterns on Etsy but I really like this simple insects pattern by Needle Tales Shop as you can easily use the motifs individually if you don’t want to stitch it in a hoop. You could add one to a denim jacket or even your shoes.
If you’ve got some yarn and a fork you can make these happy pom pom caterpillars by Ola ameS DIY. There’s a similar tutorial for bumblebees too.
If you enjoy polymer clay crafts, My Magic World has a collection of cute miniature bugs to make with a butterfly, bumblebee, ladybird and more.
Make a useful desk friend with this origami ladybug box tutorial by dachan that has space inside for paperclips or your secret little candy stash.
If you can’t sew, you can still make this Kawaii No Sew Travel Pouch from our original tutorial archives, which even includes a little bumblebee charm.
Make it even more fun with some bug-themed fabric from Spoonflower (US), like these Mid Century Bugs by Sally Mountain.
