They may have been a little slower than other kawaii characters but Hello Kitty & Friends are fully in the Halloween spirit now. Here’s a roundup of all the super cute new collections and collaborations.
Sanrio Japan have abandoned Halloween completely in recent years but luckily Sanrio (US) are making up for it. They’ve added lots of different plush to their Halloween collection with glow-in-the dark skeletons, black cat, candy corn and a Black Rose Ball theme. You’ll also find fun dress-up items, baking kits and more.
Kidrobot (US) always create the most amazing plushies and their Halloween releases are incredible. I love this food truck with all the gang! There’s also Hello Kitty as a skeleton, candy corn (both different to the Sanrio US plush), pumpkin and bandit, plus blind box enamel pins and vinyl figures.
Loungefly have a small but very kawaii collection of Halloween-themed backpacks and wallets featuring Cinnamoroll as Dracula, Pompompurin as a pumpkin & Hello Kitty as a witch. The first 2 are available from multiple stockists including JapanLA (US) and HMV (UK) while Hello Kitty is exclusive to Funko (EU) .
Speaking of JapanLA (US), they have their own exclusive Halloween collaborations. There’s a matching Spirit Jersey and tote bag, plus a button-up shirt, but my favourite has to be the glow in the dark stickers!
