It’s Star Wars Day today and I can’t believe that we’re yet to feature the most adorable character in the entire galaxy, Grogu (aka Baby Yoda, The Child, sidekick of The Mandalorian). I’ve searched the internet for the cutest shopping picks and crafts that you’ll find hard to resist – and there’s likely to be some good discounts and offers today.
Loungefly have a super kawaii collection of licensed bags, accessories and pins to choose from – this double-sided wallet is so cute.
Truffle Shuffle are a Loungefly stockist and also have a lot cute clothing including t-shirts, socks and pyjamas.
There’s a lot of plushies out there but most are aimed at collectors. I think Build A Bear (UK / US) have done a good job of making a more huggable Grogu. You can also buy him with a pram or bowl of soup and frog!
I also really like this 3D cushion at Dunelm (UK) with floppy ears . It’s a bargain at only £10 too.
Baby Yoda can also help care for plants with this sweet sleepy mini planter. Get it from Hot Topic (US), who also have loads of t-shirts and bags.
On to DIYs! There are so many kawaii amigurumi patterns out there but this free Baby Yoda crochet pattern by Ami Amour is not only super cute but includes an optional cup and cradle.
For something easier, Kooky Craftables have a free printable paper doll with 5 expressions to swap in. Download the PDF to get folding and if you need more help there’s a video walkthrough too.
If you enjoy making polymer clay charms, MCuteDesignz has a very cute Baby Yoda tutorial to try.
Rosanna Pansino is the author of a book called Nerdy Nummies and has turned Baby Yoda into macarons! Get the recipe and then follow along with the video on Youtube.
