No, you haven’t time traveled – it’s still only May! San-X like to get going on Halloween as early as possible and this limited edition Sumikko Gurashi plush set is only available to order for the next four weeks.
Since Sumikko Gurashi and Halloween are two of my favourite things, I am dying over this. There’s pumpkin and candy houses, plus Penguin?, Tonkatsu, Tokage and Tapioca dressed up in Halloween costumes.
Unfortunately, you have to order the entire thing – for ¥9720 (£67/$89) + shipping – so I think I will have to pass. At least I can look forward to being in Japan at Halloween instead, when I’m sure they will release more plush.
If you can’t live without it, you can pre-order now from the San-X shop with delivery in September. They won’t ship internationally but you can use a forwarding service like Tenso.
